The ministers of both countries exchanged views on industrial, trade, and energy cooperation between Korea and Japan. Amid an uncertain global trade environment, they formed a consensus to closely cooperate on supply chains and other areas. Both sides agreed to maintain close communication in preparation for the Korea-US-Japan Industrial Ministers Meeting expected to be held next year. Additionally, both sides agreed on the need for active utilization of carbon-free energy such as hydrogen to achieve carbon neutrality and decided to begin full-scale consultations in the hydrogen sector.
