Yongsan-gu, Recruiting College Student Part-Time Workers for Winter Break 2024

Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will accept applications for the 2024 winter vacation part-time jobs for university students for 7 days from the 6th to the 12th.
This is to provide local university students on winter break with opportunities to experience district administration work and explore career paths.
The working period is from January 4 to 31, 2024. Employees will work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week (9 AM to 3 PM, excluding a 1-hour lunch break) at the district office, community service centers, health centers, small libraries, and other locations.
The wage is based on the 2024 Yongsan-gu living wage, amounting to 57,180 KRW per day, and approximately 1.35 million KRW for 20 full working days (including paid holiday allowances).
Out of the 36 recruitment spots, 13 will be specially selected. Eligible categories include ▲recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security, ▲lower-income groups, ▲national veterans and their children, ▲multicultural families, ▲families with three or more children, ▲persons with disabilities, and ▲North Korean defectors and their children. The remaining 23 spots will be filled through general selection.
University students wishing to participate can apply on the Yongsan-gu website from 9 AM on December 6 until 6 PM on December 12. Candidates will be selected through an electronic public lottery and announced individually via text message on the 15th. The results can also be checked on the district website.
Applicants must be enrolled students (including those on leave) at universities located in Korea with resident registration in Yongsan-gu as of the announcement date (November 29). Exceptions are made for students who have moved their address outside Yongsan-gu due to academic reasons but whose parents reside in Yongsan-gu. However, graduate students, graduates, and participants of the 2023 vacation part-time jobs are excluded.
Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We look forward to seeing what ideas will emerge when university students approach district administration work with fresh and innovative perspectives,” and added, “We hope many students interested in public service or the development of Yongsan-gu will participate.”
