The district signed a business agreement last September with World Bridge Express Co., Ltd. (CEO Byun Cheol), a local professional moving company that jointly promoted free moving support projects in 2015 and 2021.
Through the ‘Seoripul Express’ project, the district provides free moving services to one vulnerable household per month, totaling 12 households annually. Eligible recipients include basic livelihood security recipients, single-parent families, and low-income households moving within Seocho-gu, with priority given to single elderly and disabled individuals living alone.
The service supports all moving processes such as packing and transportation, offering full free service for moving loads under 1 ton. If the moving load exceeds 1 ton, a personal fee will be incurred, and the district plans to provide support using case management project funds or Seocho SOS if necessary.
Residents wishing to apply can do so at their local community service center or welfare facility up to one month before moving, and the district will review eligibility and select recipients.
The district conducted the first moving support after the agreement on the 27th. Seocho-gu is promoting health, housing, and education support projects for vulnerable groups through business agreements with local companies and institutions. These include the ‘Visiting Home Medical Care Project’ with Korea University Medical Center and Bayada Home Healthcare Co., Ltd., the ‘Kia Prentoring’ child and youth mentoring project with Kia Corporation, and the ‘Firefly House’ housing repair support for vulnerable groups with KCC Corporation.
