Park Jumin, Democratic Party Deputy Floor Leader, YTN Interview
"No Reason to Receive or Raise Illegal Funds"
Kim Yong, former deputy director of the Democratic Research Institute, was sentenced to five years in prison in the first trial on charges of receiving bribes from the Daejang-dong group, while Park Jumin, the senior deputy floor leader of the Democratic Party, asked to "separate" Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party leader, from the recent reorganization results.
On the 1st, Park appeared on YTN Radio's 'News King Park Ji-hoon' and said, "Regarding the funds related to the primary election at that time, from what I heard, there was no shortage of primary election funds, and in fact, the collected primary election funds were not even fully spent," adding, "There was no room or reason to receive or raise illegal primary election funds."

Regarding the discussion on electoral reform, including the parallel and semi-proportional representation systems, held at the previous day’s party meeting, he said, "After more discussions, there will likely be approval processes such as another party meeting or various procedures regarding the leadership’s judgment," adding, "No matter which direction it goes, there will be a considerable amount of dialogue."
Park said, "The most urgent matter has been somewhat settled," and explained, "What I mean is that it is necessary to first decide the number of constituency and proportional representation members, and there is a deadline for that."
