Heesu Kim, Jindo County Governor, Receives Seoul Peace Culture Award for Regional Development Administration
Leading Regional Change and Innovation with the Goal of "Gunmin as Owners, a Better Living Jindo"
Jindo County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 29th that County Governor Kim Hee-su received the 2023 Seoul Peace Culture Award for ‘Regional Development Administration Award’.
The Seoul Peace Culture Award is given to leaders in various fields who have achieved outstanding accomplishments and contributed to the development of their regions and the nation, recognizing their achievements.

Governor Kim Hee-su was recognized for his contributions to social development by leading changes and innovations of the era with exceptional capabilities and a dedicated spirit of service, receiving the ‘Regional Development Administration Award’.
With the launch of the 8th elected term, Jindo County is vigorously advancing to create a new Jindo where changes can be felt, focusing on five major innovations: △industries where everyone prospers together △welfare where everyone is happy △education that nurtures talent △tourism that attracts and retains visitors △administration that serves the residents, all aimed at ‘Residents as owners, a livable Jindo.’
Governor Kim Hee-su stated, “I am pleased that the efforts to become an active and practical governor have been recognized,” and added, “I will continue to do my best to create a livable Jindo where residents are the owners.”
