Yongsan-gu Opens Hyochang Badminton Court and Hyochang 6 Small Park
Hyochang Badminton Court and Hyochang 6 Small Park Completed and Opened from the 22nd
Newly Created through Donation from Hyochang 6 District Housing Redevelopment Project
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) has completed the construction of Hyochang Badminton Court (288-1 Hyochang-dong) and Hyochang 6 Small Park (288-2 Hyochang-dong) and opened them to residents starting from the 22nd.
These facilities were newly established through the donation of land and facilities from the Hyochang 6 District Housing Redevelopment Project (Yongsan Desiang Fore) to promote residents' leisure activities and revitalize the infrastructure for community sports.
Hyochang Badminton Court is a public cultural and sports facility with an area of 814.6㎡, featuring one badminton court, exercise equipment, a pergola, benches, and other convenience facilities. Hyochang 6 Small Park is a green space of 708.5㎡, designed with rest facilities, exercise areas, and lawn space, and is open to residents at all times.
The district office plans to continuously maintain and manage these newly established small-scale sports facilities and small parks so that local residents can use them safely and comfortably. They also intend to identify and improve any inconveniences experienced by users after opening.
Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, stated, “There is increasing demand for expanding community sports facilities for health promotion and leisure activities. We will systematically utilize the donated facilities so that residents can be the primary beneficiaries of various development projects underway in Yongsan.”
Meanwhile, donation of land and facilities refers to the installation and provision of public facilities and infrastructure to the public as a counter-benefit in exchange for easing regulations such as floor area ratio during private development projects.
