Recognition of Testing Competence and International Credibility in Water Quality and Microbiology
Scope of Recognition: 52 Fields, Total 101 Test Items
Coway (CEO Seo Jang-won) announced on the 28th that its Environmental Technology Research Institute has obtained the accredited testing laboratory qualification from the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) for 22 consecutive years. The KOLAS accredited testing laboratory system officially recognizes testing laboratories that comprehensively evaluate their organization, facilities, personnel, etc., according to international standards, confirming their capability to conduct tests at an international standard.
Coway's Environmental Technology Research Institute first obtained KOLAS accredited testing laboratory recognition in 2002. Since then, it has undergone regular evaluations every two years to verify its accredited testing laboratory qualification. In this year's evaluation, Coway was recognized for its excellent water quality analysis capabilities, including testing capacity and facility environment that meet international standards, maintaining its accredited testing laboratory qualification for 22 consecutive years.
In particular, Coway obtained additional recognition for 10 heavy metal test items, including lead, arsenic, and chromium, in this evaluation. Including these new test items, Coway's Environmental Technology Research Institute has secured accredited testing laboratory qualifications for a total of 101 items across 52 standards in the fields of water quality and microbiology.
