11st Supports Hearing-Impaired Children and Abandoned Animals... "Donations Surpass 7.6 Billion Won"
11st Street announced on the 28th that it will support hearing-impaired children and abandoned animals through its ‘Hope Shopping’ campaign. The cumulative hope donation amount has surpassed 7.6 billion KRW.
Hope Shopping is a social contribution campaign involving sellers and consumers that 11st Street has been running since 2013. When customers purchase hope products registered by sellers, hope donations are accumulated, and the collected donations are linked to various support activities by 11st Street to give back to society. Currently, more than 14,000 sellers participate in Hope Shopping, selling over 28 million hope products, and the cumulative hope donations since 2013 have exceeded 7.6 billion KRW.
On the 25th, the 18th regular concert of the ‘Clarinet Ensemble,’ a youth orchestra composed of hearing-impaired children supported by 11st Street, was held. Since 2019, 11st Street has been sponsoring the ‘Clarinet Ensemble’ program through the welfare organization for the hearing impaired, ‘Sarangui Dalpaengi’ (Love’s Snail), supporting hearing-impaired children. To provide opportunities for these children to communicate with society and realize their dreams through music activities, 11st Street has offered regular lessons, vacation camps, and year-end concerts for the ensemble members.
Additionally, 11st Street recently signed a business agreement with the ‘Animal Freedom Coalition’ and began rebuilding ‘Nogyeonjeong,’ a shelter for abandoned animals (including senior dogs) that have no place to be adopted. Following three years of support since 2021 to improve awareness of companion animals and encourage adoption of abandoned animals, this support aims to reconstruct the existing building, which is vulnerable to fire and flooding, to create a safe and comfortable home for abandoned animals.
