Grandfather Chef Donates Proceeds from 'Halbae Bapsang'
Gwangju Dong-gu Jisan 2-dong Saemaeul Women's Association Warm Donation
The Saemaeul Women's Association of Jisan 2-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 27th that it donated 5 million won in proceeds earned from operating the 'Village Sarangchae Grandpa's Table' event held during the Chungjang Festival.
The 'Grandpa Chefs' team designated 3 million won of the proceeds earned from the 'Village Sarangchae Grandpa's Table' event, where they personally prepared and sold lunchboxes during the Chungjang Festival, to the nation's first baseball team for adolescents with developmental disabilities, the 'E.T Baseball Team,' and 2 million won to the Dong-gu Talent Development Scholarship Foundation.
Chairman Kim Young-cho said, "It seems that the results of many cooking classes conducted over the past four years through the Grandpa Chefs project have blossomed by meeting citizens during the Chungjang Festival."
