Pukyong National University Wins ‘Best Award’ at K7U-Belt Startup Idea Competition
National Pukyong University won the Grand Prize and Encouragement Award at the ‘2023 K7U-Belt Startup Idea Competition’.
The student team from National Pukyong University, consisting of Choi Min-seok, Nam Woo-jin, Lee Yoo-jin, and Lim Da-jeong, won the Grand Prize with their idea titled ‘Your Own Travel Guide Filled with Travelers’ Honest Stories - Gaboja-go’.
The competition, held on the 22nd at Hanbat National University, was an event organized by seven excellent national universities nationwide, including National Pukyong University, Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Kunsan National University, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Changwon National University, Korea National University of Transportation, and Hanbat National University, to promote startup clubs and expand startup communities.
Each of the seven universities selected two teams through their own preliminary rounds, and a total of 14 teams competed in the final round through presentations.
The idea from the National Pukyong University team that won the Grand Prize was highly evaluated for proposing a ‘one-stop travel tech service’ that supports travel planning, booking, and bulk payment for destinations introduced in online travel reviews, aiming to solve the inconveniences consumers may experience during their travels.
Additionally, National Pukyong University’s student team consisting of Gong Seong-jin, Jeong Tae-young, Lee Myung-woo, Lee Dong-gyun, Kim Seon-woo, Son Min-seong, and Ha Jae-min received the Encouragement Award for their idea of an ‘unmanned delivery robot using autonomous driving robots’.

Ryu Ji-yeol, head of the LINC 3.0 Project Group at National Pukyong University, said, “We will promote shared collaboration within the nationwide K7U-Belt alliance of national small and medium universities to form not only industry-academia cooperation but also a startup club network. We plan to further expand support for excellent startup activation in connection with local governments.”
