Kim Heon-ju, Former Director of Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Appointed as President of Korea Health Promotion Institute
On the 27th, the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced the appointment of Kim Heon-ju, former Director General of Planning and Coordination at the Ministry, as the new President of the Korea Health Promotion Institute. The term of office is three years.
President Kim has held key positions such as Director General of Health and Medical Policy, Director General of Health Insurance Policy Bureau, and Deputy Commissioner of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency. His most recent position was Director General of Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Health and Welfare from November last year to September this year.
A Ministry of Health and Welfare official stated, "We expect the new president, who possesses outstanding organizational management skills and extensive public service experience in the health and medical sector, to contribute to the management innovation of the Korea Health Promotion Institute and the improvement of public health."
