Lee Jae-myung: "Administrative Network Paralysis, Stop Blaming Others and Dismiss Lee Sang-min"
Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 27th regarding the government administrative network paralysis incident, "President Yoon Seok-yeol has made no comment on this incident," and added, "It is appropriate to immediately dismiss Lee Sang-min, the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, who is responsible."
At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, Lee said, "How many people must have been affected by the administrative network paralysis over the past week? How much inconvenience must they have experienced?"
He emphasized, "The president should also apologize for the inconvenience experienced by the entire nation, the complacency and incompetence of government officials, and the damage to the people caused by this administrative failure." He continued, "The state administrative power is completely controlled, and even that power is exercised arbitrarily, but whenever a problem arises, they blame the previous government, the opposition party, or someone else." He urged, "Instead of blaming others, say 'It is my fault' and properly exercise the given authority to ensure there is no inconvenience to the people and to do your best to revive livelihoods and the economy."
He then pointed out toward the Yoon administration, "Strangely, this government exhibits very unusual and rare phenomena where the ruling party obstructs whenever the opposition party proposes various policies." He added, "One of these is the government's consistent use of veto power against legislation."
He also said, "The People Power Party is continuously delaying discussions on increasing the livelihood budget, which the Democratic Party has requested," and stated, "The Democratic Party will definitely carry out the five major future budgets and five major livelihood budgets promised to the people."
