An incident occurred in the heart of Gangnam, Seoul, where a male high school student swung a golf club at a delivery rider riding a motorcycle.
On the 27th, the details of the assault incident, which were revealed through the YouTube channel 'Geugeos-i Blackbox' and JTBC's 'Sageon Banjang' on the 24th, spread across online communities, attracting the attention of netizens.

Delivery rider Mr. A reported that he was assaulted while performing delivery work at an apartment complex in Gangnam, Seoul, at 1 p.m. on the 11th.
In the black box footage released by Mr. A, a male student B, presumed to be a high school student wearing shorts, suddenly swung a golf club while standing in the middle of the road during the motorcycle ride. Although Mr. A shouted, "What are you doing right now?" the student picked up the golf club that had fallen to the ground and calmly left the scene.
About 10 minutes later, arrested on the spot by police nearby on charges including special assault

Due to the golf club attack, Mr. A sustained injuries requiring two weeks of medical treatment on his knee and thigh. The motorcycle, which was purchased on lease, was also damaged, resulting in repair costs amounting to several million won. Mr. A is undergoing psychiatric treatment alongside trauma care following the external injuries.
The student who suddenly attacked Mr. A was arrested on the spot by police nearby about 10 minutes later on charges including special assault. On the day of the incident, the perpetrator's father contacted Mr. A repeatedly apologizing. However, the problem arose when the father stopped responding and began ignoring messages. Ultimately, Mr. A lamented that he never received an apology from the perpetrator.
During the police investigation, the perpetrator reportedly stated that he assaulted "just without any reason."

Mr. A currently has a lawyer and mentioned that the student is not a first-time offender. He said, "The law firm advised me to demand a settlement amount between 70 million and 100 million won, but I suggested 30 million won as a lenient offer. However, the perpetrator's father said he would only pay 15 million won," adding, "(In the end) I plan to proceed with punishment without accepting any settlement."
