Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Expands Service to Prevent Verbal Abuse and Swearing
Creating a Safe Environment for Employee Work Response
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 23rd that it will expand the voice guidance protection service, which was previously limited to civil complaint response workers, to all employees of the authority to prevent mental damage caused by abusive language and verbal abuse from malicious complaints.
The voice guidance service notifies callers before connecting the call that inappropriate content of the conversation may be recorded, in accordance with the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
Through this service expansion, it is expected to prevent human rights violations of the authority’s employees, whose workload related to handling abusive language, verbal abuse, and disputes regarding work processing has been increasing.
President Park Seong-hyun stated, “By expanding the abusive language prevention service, we will strive to prevent mental stress among workers and create a safe working environment to provide better civil complaint services.”
