Golden Blue to Dispose Entire Stock of 'Carlsberg' Products Following Distribution Halt
All Items Disposed to Prevent Additional Losses Including Storage Costs
Golden Blue announced on the 27th that it has disposed of all remaining inventory of 'Carlsberg' products, which had been halted in distribution following a dispute with the Carlsberg Group in March.
This disposal measure was decided to reduce additional losses incurred from storage costs and other expenses related to unsold products left after the distribution halt of Carlsberg products, which was the starting point of the dispute between Golden Blue and the Carlsberg Group that has since prolonged. The Carlsberg products disposed of by Golden Blue are valued at approximately 490 million KRW, including disposal costs.
Golden Blue filed a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission in July against the Carlsberg Group for unfair trade practices such as refusal to trade or forced sales targets, following Carlsberg's unilateral suspension of transactions. It is reported that the Fair Trade Commission began investigating these unfair trade practices in September.

A Golden Blue representative stated, “The dispute has not been resolved since the distribution halt of Carlsberg products, and due to ongoing storage costs and additional losses, we have disposed of all Carlsberg product inventory. We hope that cases of abuse of power by global companies like this Carlsberg incident will be eradicated and that no other companies will suffer similar damages. As a Korean company affected by this, we will continue to seek possible measures to prevent recurrence and make ongoing efforts.”
