The Democratic Party says "Baseless rumors of '22 incumbents cut off'... Will take legal action"
The People Power Party announced on the 24th that the rumor circulating on social media claiming that "22 incumbent lawmakers have been cut off (excluded from nomination)" is not true and stated that they will take legal action.
Senior spokesperson Yoon Hee-seok issued a statement saying, "Recently, false information related to the party audit results has been spreading," and added, "If the dissemination continues, the party plans to take legal measures."
The People Power Party is reportedly finalizing the regular party audit conducted ahead of next year's general election and is considering announcing the results early next week.
In connection with this, since the day before, a list claiming to be the "bottom 20%" has been circulating in the form of a rumor note, naming a total of 22 incumbent lawmakers.
