KT&G announced on the 24th that it conducted ‘Year-end Kimchi Sharing Events’ across various regions to help underprivileged groups get through the winter.
On the 22nd, KT&G held a ‘Year-end Kimchi Sharing Event’ in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, where the youth startup dedicated space ‘KT&G Sangsang Planet’ is located, carrying out kimchi-making volunteer work and a delivery ceremony. The 500 heads of kimchi made by the volunteers that day were delivered to 300 low-income households in the Seongdong-gu area.
The kimchi sharing event was held in Chuncheon on the 23rd following Seoul. The event, held at the complex cultural and arts space ‘KT&G Sangsang Madang Chuncheon,’ was supported by KT&G officials, representatives from the Gangwon Social Welfare Council, and local volunteers. The 900 heads of kimchi made that day were delivered to 410 low-income households in the Chuncheon area.
Additionally, KT&G plans to continue the kimchi sharing events at regional institutions such as ‘KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan’ on the 27th, and until next month at the Cheonan Factory, Yeongju Factory, and Daegu Headquarters, spreading warmth throughout various regions. Besides kimchi sharing, KT&G will continuously carry out winter sharing activities for underprivileged groups until the end of the year, including briquette donations, winter supplies, and living expense support.
