Songpa-gu Hosts 'Olympic Park K-Pop Legacy Tour'

December 18th VIP Tour of Backstage Routes at KSPO Dome and Olympic Hall K-pop Venues

‘The Capital of K-pop,’ Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok), in collaboration with the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Jo Hyun-jae), will hold the event ‘Olympic Park K-pop Legacy Tour’ on December 18, recruiting participants.
This is an experiential event touring internal facilities such as KSPO DOME and the Olympic Hall waiting rooms within Olympic Park, known as the ‘holy ground of K-pop,’ along with major Seoul Olympic landmarks.
Songpa-gu, home to many of Korea’s representative K-pop performance venues, is the center of K-culture and has been promoting the district’s new cultural potential through the SNS content project ‘The Capital of K-pop, Songpa’ since 2023.
Olympic Park is a representative location where visitors can experience the charm of Songpa-gu, blending nature, city, the history of Hanseong Baekje, and modernity, featuring top domestic performance facilities like KSPO DOME, Olympic Sculpture Park, Lake 88, and Rose Plaza.
The Songpa-gu Public Relations Officer, who newly planned this project, explained the purpose of the event: “This event is prepared for K-pop fans who have shown great enthusiasm for Songpa, the capital of K-pop. We will carefully prepare so that fans can cherish precious memories and dreams with their favorite stars at Olympic Park, the holy ground of K-pop.”
‘Olympic Park K-pop Legacy Tour’ will take place on December 18 from 3 PM for about two hours. Starting with a tour of Seoul Olympic landmarks around the Peace Gate Plaza in Olympic Park, participants will enjoy a very special experience by following the footsteps of K-pop stars through VIP routes inside facilities such as the performance waiting rooms.
Additionally, on the day of the event, a photo zone welcoming fans visiting the dream K-pop performance venue as the main characters will be set up. All participants will also receive specially made ‘The Capital of K-pop, Songpa’ merchandise.
Before the event, the district will recruit 20 participants online from November 24 to December 4. Applicants must possess an official fan club light stick and be K-pop fans with special memories of Olympic Park.

Meanwhile, ‘The Capital of K-pop, Songpa’ is content based on the ‘passion-meets-career’ story of the responsible officer, resonating and creating buzz among K-pop fans. Various projects have been conducted, such as the online tour of Jamsil Sports Complex facilities titled ‘Inviting K-pop Royalty to the Jamsil Main Stadium Waiting Room’ and the ‘Photo Card Pride Contest’ event where fans verify K-pop idols’ photocards against local performance venues. As a result, it won the grand prize in the autonomous district category at the 2023 ‘Korea SNS Awards.’
