At the 10th Korea-China Economic Cooperation Forum held at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, Lee said in his congratulatory speech, "Even if political and diplomatic relations are shaken due to changes in the international situation, if balance is maintained in the economic and private sectors, we can wisely overcome these challenges."

About 300 businesspeople from both countries attended the forum. To commemorate the 31st anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations, the forum was held under the theme "A New Beginning for Everyone's Future," where various case presentations and cooperation plans were discussed. The opening ceremony was attended by former Prime Minister Lee Soo-sung, Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon, Chinese Ambassador to Korea Xing Haiming, Sejong Telecom Chairman Kim Hyung-jin, and former Overseas Koreans Foundation Chairman Kim Sung-gon, among others.
