Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has installed additional LED luminous signs to enhance safety in school zones.
The LED luminous signs help drivers easily recognize school zones, promoting safe driving. They charge during the day using solar energy and light up brightly at night or during rain, making them easily visible in low-light conditions.
Additionally, as an eco-friendly system using solar power, there is no extra electricity cost. Based on their visibility and cost-effectiveness, 20 new signs were installed.
Signs were placed at each point to mark the beginning and end of the school zones. The locations include Gwangjang Elementary School, Yonggok Elementary School, Yongma Elementary School, and Jungma Elementary School. With this, the district has installed a total of 354 LED luminous signs, including 270 within school zones.
