Lee Youngseop, CEO of News1, Receives Seogang Journalist Award
The Sogang Journalists Association announced on the 23rd that it has selected Lee Young-seop, CEO of News1, as the recipient of the 2023 'Sogang Journalists Award.'
The Sogang Journalists Association plans to present the award to CEO Lee at the '2023 Sogang Journalists Year-end Night' held at the Gonzaga Convention Center of Sogang University at 7 p.m. on the 13th of next month.

CEO Lee graduated from Pyeongtaek High School in Gyeonggi and majored in Journalism and Mass Communication at Sogang University. He joined Hankook Ilbo in 1992, serving as Beijing correspondent and deputy chief of the political department. He participated in the launch of News1 in 2011, holding positions such as head of the political department, head of the culture department, editor-in-chief, and vice president. CEO Lee was appointed as CEO of News1 in March this year.
