Direct Training of Agents... Goodrich Operates GA Industry's First Educational Program
Strategy for Expanding GA Influence Amidst Separation of Underwriting and Sales
Goodrich has established the industry's first financial expert training program among insurance agencies (GA).
On the 23rd, Goodrich announced that it has newly created and launched the 'GFE (Goodrich Financial Expert)' program targeting individuals with no prior experience. The aim is to nurture outstanding talent nationwide and secure them as the company's key future resources.
The program is currently being implemented regionally in the metropolitan area, Gyeongsang region, and Chungcheong-Honam region, with plans to train up to 10 cohorts in the first phase. Recruitment for the first cohort began last September, and the training for the third cohort is currently underway.
Accordingly, since the recruitment of the first cohort in September, the third cohort's training is in progress. By the end of the first project phase in June next year, a total of 500 GFEs will be selected at a rate of 50 people per month, and from the second half of the year, the monthly intake will be increased to 100 people.
Eligibility for the GFE program includes social beginners aged 20 to 40 with at least an associate degree, women with career interruptions, individuals from small and medium-sized enterprises, and those with experience as sports instructors, all without prior insurance experience. Training is conducted through monthly recruitment announcements and selection.
Traditionally, recruiting and training inexperienced individuals in the insurance industry to become insurance planners has been perceived as the domain of primary insurance companies. GAs have focused on hiring existing planners to immediately deploy them in sales and achieve results.
Recently, as insurance companies have established GAs and strengthened the separation of product manufacturing and sales operations, Goodrich has set a direction to enhance the competitiveness of its own GA.
