Yoon Meets UK Labour Party Leader... "Expecting Strengthened Cooperation on Clean Energy"
During his state visit to the United Kingdom, President Yoon Suk-yeol stated on the 22nd (local time), "Based on the Clean Energy Partnership signed with the UK, I look forward to cooperation with the British Parliament to expand collaboration between the two countries."
On the same day in the afternoon, President Yoon met with Keir Starmer, leader of the UK Labour Party, and said, "The Labour Party recently announced a vision to transform the UK into a clean energy powerhouse by 2030, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality and revitalize the domestic economy," according to the presidential office.
President Yoon also evaluated, "The Labour Party has gained the support of many British people through its advanced welfare policy stance and the formulation of various welfare policies."

Leader Starmer welcomed President Yoon's state visit to the UK on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and the UK, and hoped that "based on the achievements of this state visit, the two countries will continue to expand future-oriented cooperation in a wide range of fields."
