Dong-A University Department of Electrical Engineering Wins Excellence Award at Campus Patent Universiade
Students from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Dong-A University received an Excellence Award at the ‘2023 Campus Patent Universiade’.
The team, consisting of undergraduate students Park Jeyoon, Park Jihwan, and Jung Mina from Dong-A University's Department of Electrical Engineering, participated in the patent strategy planning category and received the ‘Samsung SDI Sponsored Excellence Award.’ They were the only recipients of the Excellence Award from universities in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region.
They analyzed patent trends and directions, as well as core patent acquisition strategies to enhance competitiveness for the ‘Wireless BMS (Battery Management System)’ technology, which is highly likely to be adopted in electric vehicles.
They also proposed solutions to various problems arising from the application of the wireless BMS system, strategies to secure a dominant market position compared to competitors, and future visions.
