The College of Engineering at Yonsei University hosted the "2020 Nature Conference" jointly with Nature from the 7th to the 9th of this month at the Baekyangnuri Grand Ballroom, Yonsei University. The conference was attended by over 140 scholars and experts from 16 countries worldwide, including the editor-in-chief of Nature.
The conference, themed "Functional 2D Materials," discussed research achievements and future development directions of functional 2D materials applicable in various fields such as low-power computing, next-generation displays, and bio-sensing. Presentations were organized into four sections: ▲Material Synthesis ▲Electronics & Optoelectronics ▲Sensing & Bio-sensing ▲Industrial Transformation.
In each session, 25 world-renowned scholars in the field of 2D materials, including Eva Olson, Terry Odom, Jose Antonio Garrido, and Andrea Ferrari, gave presentations. Yonsei University faculty introduced domestic nanomaterial technologies such as the development directions of low-dimensional materials and high-performance optoelectronics based on nanomaterial technology. Additionally, an "Editor Meeting" event was held where Nature global editors such as Sadra Pakshandeh, Bruno Castro, Jetsing Li, and Wei Pan engaged in one-on-one conversations with domestic experts.
