Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok Successfully Concludes Dialogue with Hampyeong Residents
Commitment to Joint Efforts for Realizing the Vision of Future Regional Development in Hampyeong
On the 21st, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 22nd that it held a meeting with residents together with Governor Kim Young-rok at the Hampyeong National Sports Center.
At the event, presided over by Jeollanam-do Governor Kim Young-rok, about 200 people including Lee Sang-ik, Mayor of Hampyeong-gun, Yoon Aeng-rang, Chairman of the Hampyeong County Council, Mo Jeong-hwan, Jeollanam-do Assembly member, and residents participating both on-site and online, gathered for a time of communication.
The event proceeded in the order of Mayor Lee Sang-ik’s welcoming remarks and explanation of the future regional development vision for Hampyeong, followed by Governor Kim Young-rok’s provincial government report, and responses to residents’ suggestions and questions.
At the meeting, Governor Kim Young-rok emphasized that Jeollanam-do and Hampyeong-gun should cooperate more closely to promote the future regional development vision for Hampyeong, which involves a scale of 1.84 trillion won.
Also, Mayor Lee Sang-ik requested 500 million won in support for the installation of a self-cleaning facility for agricultural machinery, to which Governor Kim Young-rok readily promised support.
Furthermore, residents requested projects including ▲expansion of support for village-level LPG pipeline network construction projects ▲extension of the project section for the Haebo Stream river disaster restoration project ▲dredging of Haebo Stream ▲incorporation of County Road No. 20 into Provincial Road No. 808.
Governor Kim said, “It was a meaningful time to listen to the diverse opinions of Hampyeong residents for the development of Hampyeong,” and added, “Jeollanam-do and Hampyeong-gun will continuously communicate and cooperate so that the province and county can achieve mutual development while dreaming of a better future.”
