SeAH Steel Holdings Secures Large-Scale Steel Pipe Supply Contract in UAE... Accelerating Middle East Expansion
20,000,000-ton Pipeline over 5 Years Followed by Clad Steel Pipes for Gas Field Project
"Strengthening Competitiveness of Local Major Steel Pipe Suppliers"
SeAH Steel Holdings is launching a full-scale entry into the Middle East market by signing two large-scale steel pipe supply contracts in the UAE.
SeAH Steel Holdings announced on the 21st that its UAE manufacturing subsidiary SeAH Steel UAE and its Italian special pipe manufacturing subsidiary Inox Tech have secured large-scale orders for API pipelines and clad (CLAD) steel pipes from ADNOC, the largest state-owned oil company in the UAE.
SeAH Steel UAE will supply approximately 200,000 tons of API pipelines over five years for ADNOC's oil and gas projects. API steel pipes are used to transport crude oil and natural gas containing hydrogen sulfide. These are high-spec steel pipe products with excellent hydrogen embrittlement resistance and internal corrosion resistance.
SeAH Steel UAE, which has a manufacturing base in the UAE, has been supplying various steel pipe products to ADNOC energy projects since 2011. This long-term contract is expected to secure stable supply volumes and profitability.

Following this, the Italian special pipe manufacturing subsidiary Inox Tech will supply approximately 14,000 tons of clad steel pipes for ADNOC's Hail & Ghasha gas field project.
Clad steel pipes are products that combine different metals to leverage the advantages of each metal. Inox Tech plans to sequentially supply clad steel pipes combining corrosion-resistant alloy steel (CRA) and carbon steel to the Hail & Ghasha gas field starting in the first half of 2024. Inox Tech’s clad steel pipes maintain strength and corrosion resistance comparable to conventional alloy steel while offering excellent cost competitiveness.
SeAH Steel Holdings considers the clad steel pipe market to be in its early growth stage and plans to secure a leading position in the Middle East clad steel pipe market based on this Inox Tech order achievement.
