Evidence of Impersonating 'BTS Dance Teacher' Also Found
A dance trainer affiliated with HYBE was fired on charges of fraud involving billions of won and has even been criminally sued.
On the 20th, HYBE stated, “As soon as we became aware of the misconduct of dance trainer A, who belongs to Big Hit Music under HYBE, and the damage caused to the company, we immediately consulted an external law firm and conducted an objective investigation,” adding, “We dismissed him through suspension from duty and a personnel committee process.” HYBE also announced, “Regarding the damages the company suffered, we have filed a criminal complaint and are proceeding with legal procedures.”
Mr. A is accused of embezzling billions of won under the pretext of investment by misusing HYBE’s name. It is also known that he received money under the pretext of investing in goods (MD) or utilizing songs and did not return it. He is said to have impersonated the 'BTS dance teacher' as well. HYBE stated, “He is an employee completely unrelated to BTS,” and “The reports claiming he was a founding member are entirely false.”

HYBE said, “This case involves an individual member’s misconduct violating company service regulations and employment rules,” and added, “Our company strictly prohibits members from using company information or their job positions for personal gain or engaging in illegal or improper acts. We will hold the wrongdoer strictly accountable without tolerance until the end.”
