40s Man Arrested for Breaking into Home of Single Woman in Her 20s and Causing Injury
A man in his 40s was arrested for injuring a homeowner while stealing valuables from a house he broke into armed with a weapon.
The Northern Gwangju Police announced on the 20th that they had arrested a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of robbery and injury after he injured a homeowner with a weapon while attempting to steal items.
Mr. A is accused of breaking into a house in Jungheung-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 5 a.m. on the 15th, armed with a weapon, and stealing items including a laptop owned by Ms. B, a woman living alone, during which he injured Ms. B's hand.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A, who had no steady job after being released from prison, targeted young women living alone and committed the crime to secure living expenses.

After Ms. B woke up, Mr. A injured her hand during a physical struggle and fled but was apprehended by the police on the 18th.
