SM Entertainment announced on the 20th that it successfully concluded the ‘2023 SMile Music Festival’ held on the 18th at Seongsu Art Hall in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. This was the 9th edition of the festival. It is SM’s flagship social contribution program supporting young people who nurture their dreams through music.

View original imageThe performance was also broadcast live online through YouTube’s ‘SM Social Contribution Channel.’ The 10 teams selected this year underwent training both online and offline, receiving education from vocal, dance, and band professional trainers over four months starting from August. Choi Siwon of Super Junior, a UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Goodwill Ambassador who actively works for children and youth worldwide, participated as an artist mentor throughout the entire process from participant selection to the final performance.

The participants expressed their heartfelt emotions, saying, "The time spent participating was truly happy and an unforgettable dream-like experience." The event was hosted by Super Junior’s Leeteuk as MC, and the atmosphere was elevated with Choi Siwon’s certificate presentation ceremony and a powerful congratulatory stage by RIIZE. CEO Jang Cheol-hyuk stated, “SM dreams of a future where everyone can smile together through culture,” adding, “We hope that all the experiences gained through the SMile Music Festival will help the participants dream and create their futures.”
