Ulsan Ulju-gun Health Center Conducts Intensive Smoking Crackdown in Public Buildings
Ulsan Ulju-gun Public Health Center will conduct intensive crackdowns on smoking inside public offices, including Ulju-gun Office, from the 20th to the 30th.
An inspection team consisting of public health center officials and about 10 smoking cessation instructors will conduct surprise inspections day and night in non-smoking areas such as parking lots, rooftops, and staircases inside the office buildings, except for designated smoking areas.
A fine of up to 100,000 KRW will be imposed if smoking is detected in non-smoking areas within public institutions.
In addition to the crackdown, a mobile smoking cessation clinic will be operated to encourage smokers to quit. The mobile clinic offers free smoking cessation counseling, smoking cessation aids, and support services.
