Democratic Party Gwangju Branch Holds Launch Ceremony for General Election Pledge Development Team
Pledge for Victory in the 2024 General Election
The Gwangju Metropolitan City Party of the Democratic Party of Korea held the '2024 General Election Pledge Development Team Launch Ceremony' at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center on the 18th, pledging victory in the 2024 general election.
The launch ceremony was attended by Lee Byung-hoon, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Metropolitan City Party (Member of the National Assembly for Dong-gu Nam-gu Eul), as well as the General Election Pledge Development Team, elected public officials, and key party members.
The 2024 General Election Pledge Development Team of the Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Metropolitan City Party will focus on developing policies for the lives of Gwangju citizens and party members, including ▲welfare policies that care for and support people's livelihoods ▲safety policies that protect the safety and lives of the people ▲livelihood security policies such as labor, housing, and jobs ▲policies to mitigate the climate crisis and inequality for shared prosperity ▲hope and development policies for children, adolescents, and youth.
In a resolution, the General Election Pledge Policy Development Team criticized, "Since the inauguration of the Yoon Seok-yeol government, the suffering of Gwangju citizens has been increasing amid low growth and high inflation," and added, "Despite the crises facing both current and future generations, the Yoon Seok-yeol government has consistently shown incompetence, lack of measures, and irresponsibility."
They further stated, "Ahead of the general election, we will clearly present the direction and vision for Gwangju and strive to become a policy party that gains the support of citizens."
Lee Byung-hoon, Chairman of the City Party (Member of the National Assembly for Dong-gu Nam-gu Eul), said, "The Democratic Party Gwangju Metropolitan City Party must take the lead in restoring people's livelihoods, welfare, and the economy, which have been devastated by the Yoon Seok-yeol government," and added, "The 2024 General Election Pledge Development Team will devote all efforts to developing practical policies that resonate with citizens and party members."
