The inspection of the Saeol Administrative System conducted with local governments and on-site from 3 p.m. the previous day also showed favorable results.
The Ministry is also inspecting the nationwide Saeol Administrative System's normal operation status from 2 p.m. today. Local government civil servants directly access the system to verify service operation.
The cause of the malfunction was identified as a network equipment failure connected to the Saeol authentication system. The Ministry replaced the equipment, performed stabilization work, conducted tests, and then resumed the service.
Meanwhile, Minister Lee Sang-min of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety chaired the 'Local Administrative Computer Service Malfunction Countermeasures Headquarters' meeting at the National Information Resources Service in Daejeon on the morning of the same day. After the meeting, he visited the monitoring control room of the National Information Resources Service and urged private experts and public officials to stabilize the resumed services from the 20th to ensure no inconvenience to the public.
