Energy Corporation and Korea Sports Council Join Hands to Improve Energy Efficiency
Signing of MOU for Improving Energy Efficiency and Practicing Energy Saving in Sports Facilities
On the 16th, the Korea Energy Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Sports Council at the Korea Sports Council reception room in Seoul to promote energy efficiency improvement and energy-saving practices in sports facilities.
Through this agreement, both organizations agreed to mutually cooperate on ▲ sharing technologies to improve energy efficiency related to sports facilities and supporting facility upgrades ▲ jointly promoting campaigns for energy-saving practices among athletes and sports organizations ▲ strengthening support for sports participation among energy and socially vulnerable groups.
The Korea Energy Agency and the Korea Sports Council plan to continuously support and cooperate to raise awareness of energy saving, including joint energy-saving campaigns in the sports sector.

Lee Sang-hoon, Director of the Korea Energy Agency, said, "We hope that this agreement will contribute to improving national energy efficiency through enhancing the energy efficiency of sports facilities. We will also make greater efforts to practice environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management, such as supporting sports activities for energy-vulnerable groups, and work closely with the Korea Sports Council to spread a culture of energy-saving practices in the sports field."
