Gwangjin-gu Expands Support for Maternal and Newborn Health Care Services
Voucher support amount exceeding 500,000 won: up to 90% of additional payment supported... Various services available including maternal health recovery, newborn care, and household chores... No restrictions based on residence... Expected to alleviate economic burden for families with childbirth
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is expanding support for the 'Postpartum Mother and Newborn Health Care Service' to alleviate the financial burden on families with newborns.
This service involves professionally trained health care workers visiting families after childbirth to assist with postpartum care. It supports the mother's health recovery, newborn care, and household activities to help overcome difficulties experienced after childbirth.
The district will provide the 'Postpartum Mother and Newborn Health Care Service' and 'Postpartum Care Expense' vouchers to all families with newborns in the area. Additionally, if the out-of-pocket expense for using the service exceeds 500,000 KRW, up to 90% of the excess amount will be supported.
The eligible families must have resided in Gwangjin-gu for more than six months as of the date of childbirth, with no income restrictions. Applications can be made through the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center or the local community service center.
