Ministry of Culture Holds 'Korea MICE Expo' in Songdo
Business Consultations, Permanent Exhibitions, and Academic Conferences in Progress
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold the 'Korea MICE Expo 2023' on the 16th and 17th at Songdo Convensia in Incheon. Under the theme 'Towards a Future Embracing Diversity and Expansion,' the event will feature business consultations, permanent exhibitions, academic conferences, and facility briefings. MICE is an acronym derived from the English words Meeting, Incentive tour, Convention, and Exhibition & Event.
At the academic conference, lectures will be held on topics such as e-sports, digital transformation, MICE industry policies, latest trends, marketing, organization and leadership, workforce and recruitment, and K-MICE case studies. In a joint workshop prepared in cooperation with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), overseas experts will discuss strategies for proposing MICE events. The 'Asia-Pacific MICE Leaders Forum' will feature speakers from MICE-related organizations in Taiwan, Thailand, and China, sharing industry status and current issues.
In the one-on-one business consultations, domestic and international MICE hosting organizations and MICE service providers will participate as buyers and sellers, respectively. A promotional briefing session will also be held to introduce major MICE facilities nationwide, including Incheon and Gyeongju, to overseas buyers. Tours will be organized to Incheon, Gyeongju·Ulsan, and Daegu·Gyeongbuk to provide tourism experience opportunities.
