Up to 200 Million KRW Support for Commercialization Over 3 Years
Up to 5 Billion KRW Support for Technology Guarantee
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young) announced on the 16th that it is recruiting 'Super-Regional Leading Companies' to lead the industrial ecosystem in key regional industries. Super-Regional Leading Companies are small and medium-sized enterprises with high innovation and growth potential that contribute significantly to the regional economy. These companies form supply chains that transcend city and provincial boundaries and play key roles within the supply chain, such as technology cooperation, product manufacturing, supply, and sales.
The applicants are 100 regional innovation leading companies selected by 14 non-capital region cities and provinces in 2022. Among them, up to 20 companies with excellent inter-company collaboration capabilities will be selected as 'Super-Regional Leading Companies.' Selected companies will receive support for commercialization, including product improvement, market expansion, and consulting, as well as a technology guarantee program with a maximum limit of 5 billion KRW.

Kim Woo-jung, Director of Regional Enterprise Policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "To realize an era where living anywhere is desirable, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups collaborated with 14 non-capital region cities and provinces to select 100 regional innovation leading companies at the end of last year, and earlier this year, restructured key regional industries." He added, "By selecting Super-Regional Leading Companies, we aim to establish a regional representative company growth model that connects '100 Regional Innovation Leading Companies' and '20 Super-Regional Leading Companies' in key regional industry sectors."
