Chung-Ang University Selected as Outstanding University for ICT Credit-Linked Project Internship
Chung-Ang University was selected as an outstanding participating university in the 'ICT Credit-Linked Project Internship' organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation, and the Korea Information Industry Association.

View original imageOn the 15th, Chung-Ang University announced that it was selected as an outstanding participating university at the 'ICT Credit-Linked Project Internship Excellence Awards Ceremony and Presentation' recently held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. A plaque of appreciation was presented to Chung-Ang University for being selected as an outstanding university.
The ICT Credit-Linked Project Internship is a program implemented to cultivate ICT professionals equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. It supports ICT-related major university students to undertake ICT job-centered internships proposed by domestic and international companies on the condition of receiving academic credit.
A representative from the Chung-Ang University SW Education Center, which oversees the internship operation, stated, "Chung-Ang University has been steadily conducting the ICT Credit-Linked Project Internship as part of the SW-Centered University Support Project and LINC 3.0 Project to facilitate smooth industry-academia exchange and successful employment linkage." He added, "This achievement is the result of continuous efforts to sustain the SW-Centered University Support Project and internship program that have been ongoing since 2017."
On the same day, two Chung-Ang University students achieved remarkable results by winning the grand prize and the excellence award respectively. Go Ju-hyung, a senior in the Department of Software, received the Minister of Science and ICT Award, the grand prize in the outstanding performance individual category. Nam Hye-rin, a graduate of the Department of Industrial Security, won the Director Award of the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation, the excellence award in the participation essay category.
After receiving the grand prize, Go Ju-hyung gave a presentation on his outstanding case, saying, "Through the internship, I had a special and valuable experience that is hard to encounter from the intern's position," and added, "It was an opportunity to reflect on what it means to be a good engineer."

Professor Jung Yoo-jung of the Chung-Ang University SW Education Center, who received the plaque of appreciation, said, "Over the past six years, Chung-Ang University has implemented the SW-Centered University Support Project and created systems and environments that allow students to focus on internships by making internships a mandatory graduation requirement." She continued, "I believe we received the plaque of appreciation thanks to the know-how gained through these efforts, the university's continuous efforts to provide internship opportunities to students, the active promotion by the LINC 3.0 Project Group, and the strong interest and participation of the students."
