BNK Busan Bank and Busan City Sign Agreement to Promote English-Friendly Financial Services
On the morning of the 15th, BNK Busan Bank signed a 'Business Agreement to Activate English-Friendly Financial Services' with Busan City at the International Protocol Room of Busan City Hall to create an English-friendly city.
Through this agreement, Busan Bank plans to designate English-friendly branches and install priority counters for foreigners, while Busan City will improve the living environment for foreigners by promoting financial services and providing administrative support.
First, Busan Bank will pilot designate three branches as English-friendly branches: the Head Office Sales Department, Haeundae Financial Center, and Gwangandong Financial Center.
English-friendly branches will install priority counters for foreigners and select and assign employees proficient in English to provide English-friendly financial services starting from January next year.

View original imageBusan Bank stated that it expects the satisfaction of foreigners who are not fluent in Korean to increase by providing frequently used financial services such as deposits and withdrawals, foreign exchange, and cards in English.
In the future, Busan Bank plans to expand English-friendly branches targeting university areas with many foreign students and regions densely populated with foreign workers, as well as upgrade bank documents and mobile banking foreign language versions.
