POSCO Interplans to Establish Modular Manufacturing Facility in Ukraine
Mikolai Uju and MOU
POSCO International announced on the 15th that it will promote a modular business as part of the reconstruction of Ukraine. Jeong Tak, Vice Chairman of POSCO International, became the first representative of a domestic private company to visit Ukraine from the 13th to the 15th, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vitalii Kim, Governor of Mykolaiv, to establish a 'Steel Modular Manufacturing Facility.'
Modular structures use a block-like assembly method that can reduce construction time by up to 60%. They are expected to aid in post-war recovery processes such as building social infrastructure including housing, schools, and hospitals. The supply of modular units will leverage the full capabilities of the POSCO Group. POSCO steel products and POSCO A&C engineering technology will be combined with POSCO International’s local network and negotiation power to promote local business development.
