Norang Pungseon Q3 Operating Profit 3.7 Billion Won... "Turned to Black"
Sales of 31.3 Billion KRW... 329% Increase Compared to Same Period Last Year
Increased Demand for Summer Peak Season and Chuseok Holiday Packages
Norangpungseon announced on the 14th that its consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 3.7 billion KRW, turning profitable compared to the same period last year. Sales for the same period increased by 329% year-on-year to 31.3 billion KRW.
The company explained that the rebound in performance was the result of increased demand for package tour products following the government's official declaration of the endemic phase (periodic outbreak of infectious diseases) in May. In the third quarter, performance improved particularly due to the summer peak season and the long Chuseok holiday.
Norangpungseon plans to continue the positive trend in the fourth quarter, which includes winter vacation and Christmas holidays, by securing ample seats through hard block contracts on high-demand routes such as Japan and Europe in close cooperation with airlines, and by conducting aggressive marketing including various promotions and special events for popular destinations.
