Jeju Fire Department and Jeju Regional Postal Service Join Hands for Winter Fire Prevention

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Fire Safety Headquarters (Chief Kim Suhwan) and Jeju Regional Post Office signed a business agreement on the 13th at the Jeju Regional Post Office within the Government Jeju Regional Joint Office Building to promote fire prevention during the winter season.

According to the Jeju Fire Headquarters on the 14th, this business agreement was prepared to create a fire safety environment that resonates with residents in preparation for the winter season, when fire occurrences are frequent.

According to this agreement, for about four months until February next year, a total of 10,000 fire prevention promotional envelopes (5,000 large envelopes / 5,000 small envelopes) will be placed at five major post offices in the province with high customer traffic and provided free of charge to residents. Both organizations will mutually cooperate in promoting fire prevention among residents during the winter season.

Kim Suhwan, Chief of Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters, said, “Through this business agreement, we will be able to deliver winter fire prevention messages to every corner of the country,” and added, “We thank the Jeju Regional Post Office for cooperating to enhance the public interest of fire prevention promotion and maximize its effectiveness.”

Lee Younghoon, Director of Jeju Regional Post Office, responded, “This agreement will serve as a foundation for establishing a mutual cooperation system between the two organizations,” and said, “We will actively engage in promotional activities for fire prevention in cooperation with Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters in the future.”
