Anyang City Invites Professor Jeong Jae-hoon for 'Population Education'
Professor Jeong Jae-hoon of Seoul National University is giving a lecture on population education at Anyang City Hall on the 13th.

On the 13th, Anyang City held a lecture at the city hall auditorium by inviting Professor Jeong Jae-hoon from the Department of Social Welfare at Seoul Women's University, under the theme "Disappearing Korean Society and Response Directions," the city announced on the 14th. About 300 citizens and public officials attended the lecture.
Anyang City prepared this lecture to foster consensus on population issues and enhance the ability to establish effective population policies through a comprehensive approach to rapid demographic changes and population decline.
In the lecture, Professor Jeong emphasized that quality of life is a necessary and sufficient condition for having children, stating, "It is necessary to create a social environment where work and family can coexist."

Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang said, "I hope this lecture serves as an opportunity for public officials and citizens to reflect on the low birthrate phenomenon in Korean society," and emphasized, "We will not stop efforts such as preparing various policies to create a sustainable Anyang amid demographic changes."
