Ubivelox Posts Consecutive Quarterly Operating Profit Exceeding 10 Billion Won... Positive Signal for Record-Breaking Performance
Ubivelox announced on the 13th that its cumulative sales for the third quarter of this year, based on consolidated financials, reached 385.2 billion KRW, a 19.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Cumulative operating profit also showed strong growth, recording 39.3 billion KRW.
Looking at the third quarter alone on a consolidated basis, sales were 135.3 billion KRW and operating profit was 16.2 billion KRW, marking increases of 18.3% and 185.5% respectively compared to the same period last year. This means operating profit exceeded 10 billion KRW in both the second and third quarters. On a separate basis, third-quarter sales increased by 16.3% year-on-year to 28.8 billion KRW, and operating profit rose 34.1% to 3.7 billion KRW, achieving strong performance.
Kang Jeong-gyu, Executive Director of the Business Strategy Headquarters, stated, “Our strong performance is driven by overseas supply of smart cards and expansion of chip platform applications (such as home appliances and automobiles), as well as robust sales of robot vacuum cleaners and food waste disposers.” He added, “Overseas sales of the smart card business for the cumulative third quarter this year recorded a growth rate in the 70% range compared to the same period last year, already surpassing last year’s annual sales scale.”
He continued, “The chip platform business is rapidly expanding beyond the traditional payment market into areas requiring security/authentication such as home appliances, automobiles, chargers, and IoT, so we expect to show even better results going forward.”
Ubivelox is actively entering the high-end platform market with BLE cards (low-energy Bluetooth), metal cards, and eco-friendly cards, and is preparing for commercialization by developing the Korean IC card independent standard ‘KLSC (Korea Local Smart Card).’

Additionally, the company has newly entered the performance platform market, focusing on new businesses such as supplying artist support platforms and goods for artists like NewJeans and &Team. Recently, the robot vacuum cleaner product ‘Roborock’ expanded its sales channels offline by entering official permanent stores in department stores as well as domestic online channels. Its affiliate, iNavi Systems, is preparing for listing with Kiwoom Securities as the lead underwriter.
