CPR Performed on Unconscious Swimming Club Member
Jung Daesung, an employee (swimming instructor) working at Jindong Comprehensive Welfare Center under Changwon Facilities Corporation in Gyeongnam, was recognized for saving a precious life through prompt first aid and received the 'Heart Saver Certificate.'
Heart Saver is a system that awards a certificate to individuals who save the lives of emergency patients at the brink of life and death through active first aid such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
On March 24, Mr. A (male, 62), who was taking swimming lessons at the Jindong Comprehensive Welfare Center swimming pool, suddenly lost consciousness.
Jung, who was on safety duty at the swimming pool that day, noticed the incident, immediately moved the victim out of the water, and performed CPR, maintaining the golden time until the arrival of the paramedics, thereby saving a precious life.
Accordingly, on the 10th, the Changwon Fire Headquarters awarded Jung the Heart Saver Certificate on behalf of Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City.
