Hong Jun-pyo Targets Shin Pyung: "A Person Who Doesn't Know Political Basics Gives Delusional Advice"
Daegu Mayor Hong Jun-pyo launched a social media attack, saying, "A person who doesn't even know the basics of politics presumes to be the president's mentor and gives advice based on vain delusions." Although he did not mention a subject, the target appears to be lawyer Shin Pyeong, who is known as "President Yoon Seok-yeol's mentor."
On the 13th, Mayor Hong raised his voice on SNS, saying, "It's disgusting that a person who doesn't even know the basics of politics presumes to be the president's mentor and gives advice based on vain delusions, but it's equally pathetic that tabloid media take that as news and report it."

In a post titled "Where the Political Weather Vane Points," Shin identified former leader Lee Jun-seok, Mayor Hong, and former People Power Party emergency committee chairman Kim Jong-in as the three key players of the "anti-Yoon Seok-yeol" faction, analyzing, "The intention of former leader Lee to form a new party in Yeongnam or the TK (Daegu·Gyeongbuk) region and run for office in Daegu has hit a big wall. Cooperation from Mayor Hong is essential, but Mayor Hong has changed his stance."
He continued, "Mayor Hong recently showed a stance of agreeing with former leader Lee by announcing the 'imminent political big bang,' but the day before yesterday, he downgraded Lee's attempt as 'an error in situational awareness and immature judgment of the political situation.' According to his characteristic hit-and-run strategy, he has retreated again," adding, "Mayor Hong is driven by the belief that unless the pro-Yoon faction weakens, he will not be given room to operate, and he will continue to carry out hit-and-run tactics relentlessly."

However, Mayor Hong criticized lawyer Shin's analysis as "vain delusions of a person who doesn't even know the basics of politics." He said, "I've never seen someone who abandons their first spouse succeed," adding, "With things like this, the world can only be chaotic." This appears to be a reference to lawyer Shin's remarriage history.
