Goryeong-gun, Jisandong Ancient Tombs Night Event 'Goryeong-e Gaya Haeng' Successfully Concluded
The Jisandong Night Event "Goryeong to Gaya Journey" commemorating the World Heritage registration was successfully concluded over two days from November 10 to 11 at the Jisandong Tumuli Complex, attracting many visitors.
This event was the first night event held at the Goryeong Jisandong Tumuli Complex, which was registered as a World Heritage site last September. It featured programs allowing visitors to enjoy the unique nightscape of the tumuli under the night sky, including night trekking of the tumuli, night markets, a special performance by the County Gayageum Ensemble, Gayageum busking, the Gaya Song Gala Show, LED Tron Dance, and fireworks, providing fresh enjoyment to the audience.
In particular, the fantasy musical drama "Gaya Song" Gala Show, based on the Daegaya myth and produced with art circus and electronic elements, drew many exclamations from the audience. The LED Tron Dance performance, featuring specially made costumes and restrained light-based dance synchronized to various music, brilliantly concluded the Jisandong Tumuli night event.
County Governor Lee Nam-chul said, "I am extremely pleased to hold a night event at the Jisandong Tumuli Complex, which has been registered as a World Heritage site. We will continue to create diverse content that allows people to see and feel the Jisandong Tumuli not only during the day but also at night, so that the Jisandong Tumuli can be widely promoted both domestically and internationally."
