The Democratic Party of Korea has reported Lee Jeong-seop, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Suwon District Prosecutors' Office 2nd Division, who is in charge of investigating the allegations of North Korean remittances by the Ssangbangwool Group linked to party leader Lee Jae-myung, to the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO).
On the afternoon of the 10th, Democratic Party lawmakers Kim Yong-min, Kim Eui-gyeom, and Jeon Yong-gi filed a complaint against Deputy Chief Prosecutor Lee with the CIO for violations of the Resident Registration Act, Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, State Public Officials Act, Criminal Act, and the Code of Conduct for Prosecutors.
