Opening of Gangseo New Media Center Banghwa-dong Studio
Video Shooting and Editing in One... Camera, Tripod, and Other Equipment Rentals Available
A space where videos can be directly filmed and edited to create content has been established in Banghwa-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon).
On the afternoon of the 10th, the district held the opening ceremony of the ‘Gangseo New Media Center Banghwa-dong Studio’ and officially began its operation.
About 40 people, including District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon, media center officials, and residents, attended the opening ceremony to celebrate.
The studio, located on the 2nd floor at 38 Yangcheon-ro 10-gil, Banghwa 2-dong, was created with an area of 325.39㎡.
The single-person media room is equipped with the latest broadcasting equipment such as computers, microphones, and webcams, allowing the production of one-person broadcast content like podcasts and radio DJ shows. The multi-studio, designed like a broadcasting set, enables direct video filming and real-time streaming.
The district also provides media education so that any resident can easily access and learn new media. Courses from beginner to advanced levels will be offered to help residents steadily improve their skills.
The editing room, equipped with two computers for video editing, is available for free use by anyone.
A video shooting equipment rental service necessary for content production is also provided. It includes essential equipment such as cameras and tripods, as well as professional filming gear. The daily rental fee per item ranges from 5,000 KRW to 10,000 KRW, and items can be rented for up to three days.
The studio’s operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
The district hopes that the Banghwa-dong studio will become a dream space for those aspiring to be YouTubers and a new media connection channel for residents.

District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “In line with the rapidly changing new media era, we established the Banghwa-dong studio so that any resident can easily access new media,” adding, “I hope it becomes a gateway to quench residents’ thirst for new media education.”
