With International Students... Dong-A University Hosts 'International Day' Event
Dong-A University held the ‘2023 International Day’ event together with international students.
At the event held on the 9th at the central plaza of Bumin Campus, international students from 16 countries set up booths to exchange cultures through traditional foods, traditional costumes, and traditional game experiences from each country.
The participating international students came from various parts of the world including Korea, China, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar, Morocco, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Russia, Uzbekistan, Germany, Spain, and Africa.
The event featured performances prepared by the international students such as Vietnamese songs and dances, Uzbek songs, Filipino Tinikling (folk dance), Indian traditional dance, as well as a stage performance by Dong-A University’s cheerleading squad and dance club ‘Garion,’ and a magic show by veteran magician Kwon Hyuk-min, who has 21 years of experience.
Additionally, booths for Dong-A University’s International Exchange Department DAILY (Integrated Support Program for International Students) and exchange and cooperation program information were also operated.
At the '2023 International Day,' international students are operating traditional food booths.

Student Choi Seong-ho said, “Thanks to the festival, international students at Dong-A University had a chance to come together and become closer, and I was glad to introduce Chinese culture to Korean friends.”
Park Kyung-eun, who serves as the leader of the International Exchange Department’s integrated supporters DAILY, shared, “Meeting everyone at the festival made me realize how many international students there are at Dong-A University, and it was meaningful to assist with the event on behalf of the International Exchange Department.”

Currently, over 1,500 international students from 47 countries are studying at Dong-A University, which holds the International Day annually to introduce the countries of origin of international students to students and local residents and to promote cultural exchange.
